SCHOOLS WORK

Each week the Wildfire Youth Team work in local secondary schools. Read below some testimonials from this work and info about the different services we offer...

Youth Conference
Schools Work: Welcome

I went on the girls' course2 years ago. It was exciting because I really needed it. The course helped me meet new people who have boosted my self-esteem. I now go to other Wildfire groups outside of school where I socialise and get support from the team.

We have been hosting the 'I'm girl I want to be' course at The Westgate School for a number of years. Ellie and the team have always been professional, flexible and fully engaged in making key relationships with the pupils that have attended. The array of issues covered by the course really gives the girls a chance to reflect, gain confidence and support each other through the 8 weeks. The feedback we get from those that have participated has always been positive and we've seen a real difference in so many of them.

ONE TO ONE SUPPORT

Goal focussed mentoring

We can all recall one person who made a positive impact in our lives. We're committed to providing one to one support for young people who need someone to listen, encourage and champion them. We consider it an honour to journey with individual young people as they grow and develop.

ASSEMBLIES

Get to know our team

As a team, we love to go into local secondary schools, not only to spread the word about the projects we run, but talk about topics relevant to teenagers such as...resilience, hope, self-esteem, friendship.

YOUTH BUS

Mobile Youth Space

The Vineyard Youth Bus isn't quite road worthy yet, but when it is we're looking forward to bringing the bus onto school sites as a safe space for young people to touch base with the youth team and to run group sessions. Look out for bus in the next academic term!
